Information from Businesses (Customers)

When you create a Sageloop AI account and connect it to your website, we access and store:

• Account data: Name, email address, and business details provided at sign-up
• Knowledge content: Product information, FAQs, documents, website content, and Q&A pairs you upload or sync to train your AI agent
• Integration data: Data fetched from connected integrations (e.g. Shopify product & order data, Gorgias ticket history) used to power AI responses
• Customer conversations: Chat transcripts between your visitors and the AI, used to improve answers and provide analytics to you
• Widget configuration: Customisation settings you apply to the chat widget

Information from Website Visitors

When a visitor uses the Sageloop AI widget on your website, we collect:

• Chat messages and questions submitted to the AI
• Browser type, IP address, and pages visited for security and analytics
• Order email or order number if provided for order lookup (where applicable)

We do not collect payment card details. All checkout and payment processing is handled by your own payment provider.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Sageloop AI service
• Answer shopper questions using your product and order data
• Improve and fine-tune AI models for ecommerce
• Provide analytics to you about deflected tickets, assisted revenue, and top questions
• Communicate with you about service updates, security, and support
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers who help us run the service, or if required by law. Shopper chat data is visible to the merchant whose store the chat occurred on.

4. Data Retention

• Chat transcripts are retained per your plan: Free — 7 days, Growth — 30 days, Pro — 90 days
• Integration data (e.g. Shopify products/orders) is deleted within 30 days of disconnecting the integration or closing your account
• You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@sageloopai.com

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your data. Sageloop AI is GDPR compliant. We conduct regular security reviews and limit data access to authorized personnel only.

6. Your Rights
